WHat is CrossFit?

CrossFit is constantly varied, functional movement performed at a high intensity.

    • Constantly Varied: We do Gymnastics, Weightlifting, Running, Rowing, Strongman, basically anything as long as it's...
    • Functional Movement: Movements that are functional are movements that we use in our daily life like squats, deadlifts, shoulder press, push ups, burpees and running to name a few. They typically involve multiple joints and are the most efficient way to move large loads long distances quickly.
    • High Intensity: Provided we can maintain good technique, we do all of these movements as quickly or as heavy as possible . We always ensure people are moving well before we let them move faster or lift more weight. By training at a high intensity we reap the most health benefits by forcing our body to adapt.

CrossFit is not just about fitness, more importantly it's about community.

At Fianna we know that no one can do anything alone and that the most important thing at the box is to be a good person and to care about our members and the surrounding community. A CrossFit gym is more than just a place people go to train. It is a place where people make friends, help each other grow and inspire each other. People may try CrossFit initially to get fit but they usually stay because of the friends they've made and the support they receive.
